Upgrading the country’s civil aviation up to the world standards was taken under serious control by  the first president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov right after Uzbekistan had got Independence. The airports of the Republic were thoroughly reconstructed and supplied with up-to-date technical equipments. The National Airline company’s park “Uzbekistan Airlines” are regularly supplied with new and modern airplanes. It not only positively affects on transportation communications with developing countries but also our economical improvement by increasing the number of international flights and amount of luggage transportation. The progress tendency of national Airline company “Uzbekistan Airlines” is vividly shown in Namangan International Airport. In 2004 when the first President of Uzbekistan visited the region not only precious advice were given but also was said that airport is considered to be both the gate and even icon symbolizing it. The fastidiously reconstructed airport within the borders of a 2005 investment program became the jewel of Fergana valley. The director of the airport Shukhrat Askarov says that it was the uppermost mission to enhance its functionality up to international degree during the first decade of Independence years. Due to serious effort great facilities were created for both clients and workers, the service quality was improved and safety of flights was reinforced too. On the first stage air station was reconstructed according to innovative architecture projects, used materials like glass, “Alkophone”, marble and decorations gave enormous beauty to air station’s facade. Waiting, ticket selling, currency exchange halls, post office, mothers’ and children’s rooms, kitchen and pubs serve 24/7.
